Welcome to the : My Thoughts Can Change The World Project
Project Goal: What we do and what we internally think, impacts others. The project’s goal is to make a positive impact for people, animals, plants, and our environment, through the sharing of thoughts and ideas. Here is the up and coming topic of the next book by the Mill Mustangs: An idea, a thought, a hope, however big or small, can start a ripple. What will you do? What could we all do? No matter if it is to help your family or neighborhood, school or community, nation or world: It starts with you. Each student will be asked to write and illustrate their idea. It can be as simple as one line. Our collective goal is to create as many positive ‘thought ripples’ as possible through the sharing of these ideas. To do this, the students illustration may be featured as the SRP: Creative Thought of the week on the Studio RADish Press website or on the digital media feed. Most importantly, if there is enough student participation, Studio RADish Press will publish their collective thoughts into a book for all to see. My personal goal is to empower each student, show that they matter and are important, and to demonstrate how positively aiming their thoughts can create a really big impact. Aside from the costs necessary to produce and print the books, any proceeds will go to an organization who will help bring about change. The book itself becomes the ripple. Beginning with each student’s thought, then combining these thoughts into a collaborative work, distributing the the final collection to family, friends, and members of the community, will ultimately lead to the donation to Cool Earth. The purchase of each book:
The books will be available for purchase to all on the publishers website as well as other online bookstores. I hope we can spread some amazing ideas, joy, kind thoughts, and create some young published authors! Interested in bringing the project to your school? Contact Rachel! |
